The Montgomery County girls basketball team knocked off Southern Boone 45-34 in the Sophie Cunningham Classic on Jan. 6 at Columbia College. The event is named after the former University of Missouri standout and current Phoenix Mercury guard. The Wildcats improved to 11-1 with the victory. Olivia Shaw was named MCHS' MVP after finishing with 10 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Malia Rodgers scored 11 points and Maddy Queathem added nine. Theo Tate photos
