The Montgomery County girls basketball team won its first Montgomery County Invitational Tournament championship since 1997 after topping Hermann 73-47 in the title game on Dec. 2. Malia Rodgers finished with 17 points and earned the tournament's Most Valuable Players award for the second year in a row. Maddy Queathem scored 22 points with five 3-pointers and was named to the all-tournament team.
