Barbara Ann Young passed away on December 7, 2021 at the age of 87. Barbara was born March 4, 1934 in St. Louis to Joseph and Maybell Orzel nee Nack.
Barb was an avid gardener. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. She raised African violets and was a lover of nature. She raised horses, cows and chickens. Barb worked as a realtor and appraiser. After retirement, Barb enjoyed volunteering at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her four children: Rebecca (Richard) Meyer of High Hill, Michele (Robert) Wyatt of New Florence, Joseph (Brenda) Young of Montgomery City and Micahel (Kay) Young of Jonesburg; eight grandchildren, Christina (Jason) Kolling, Karen (John) Baker, Heather Button, Mandy Wyatt, Darryl (Kali) Salazar, Rachel (Tim) Mundwiller, Devin (Alisha) Horner and Damon Horner; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Orzel; mother, Maybell Anna Orzel; and husband, Boyd Kent Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at Jonesburg City Cemetery.
