Elizabeth A. Meyer was born on June 26, 1958. Beth and her husband, Bob, are happy and together again. Beth passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at home in Gamma, surrounded by family.

She married Robert “Bob” Howard Meyer on May 9, 1981, in St. Louis, they were married for over 35 wonderful years.

She studied business and AutoCad at Red Rocks Community College. She loved her work in construction and business administration. She loved volunteering with her husband every chance she got and being a firefighter’s wife. It brought her great pleasure to help the community of Arvada, Colo., where she lived for many years. She moved back to Missouri with her husband in July 2016, shortly before his passing.

Mrs. Meyer was an amazing grandmother and loved crafts and doing fun things with her daughter and grandchildren. She also loved reading crime and murder stories and was a talented photographer.

Mrs. Meyer is survived by her daughter, Christina Meyer of Gamma; two grandchildren, Anton Robert Meyer and Alicia Ann Marie Meyer, both of Gamma; her siblings: Todd, Vickie, Becky (Fred), Bill (Karen); and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special shout out to Dawn Jamieson for the care that she gave to Elizabeth.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Eizabeth Jenkins Meyer; grandson, Christopher Jose Lucero; her parents, George and Marianna Holmes; sister, Janet Marie Jamieson; and two nephews, James Holmes and Shane Burlage.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on March 19 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, with Pastor Dawn Gerard officiating the services. Interment will follow in the Bellflower Cemetery in Bellflower. The casketbearers include Joe Jamieson, Chris Holmes, Louis Kloppel, Kevin Holmes and Todd Holmes.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on March 19 at the funeral home.
