County resident to hold photography fundraiser

Lexy Campbell had reason to be thrilled when she found out she was accepted for her second year at Lifestyle Christianity University.

“I’m learning so much from going to LCU,” the Montgomery City resident said. “It’s unbelievable. I want to see people turn to the Lord.”

Now, Campbell is looking to raise funds that will help pay for her tuition at LCU, which is about $4,000. She will be taking photo sessions for families, senior citizens and other individuals for $200 apiece.

“This is something that’s really in my heart to know the Lord more than I knew him a second ago at all times,” Campbell said. “It’s an everyday heart cry of mine.”

Campbell is a free-lance photographer. She is also a homeschool teacher for three of her children.

“I homeschool and I go to school myself, so it makes it a little challenging timewise,” Campbell said. “I’ve been kind of a low key photographer. I’ve been doing it for several years.”

A St. Louis-area native, Campbell lived in foster homes for several years until she was adopted when she was a teenager. She said her life started to change before she became an adult.

“I heard the gospel for the first time three days before my 21st birthday,” Campbell said. “I gave my heart to Jesus. It wasn’t until not this past summer, but the summer before that Jesus really started revealing Himself to me in a way that I had never experienced before. It broke a lot of chains and bondages that I didn’t realize from my childhood that I still had. Going to Lifestyle Christianity, they teach a lot about the importance of being renewed and transformed by the word of God. I didn’t realize how important His word really is. He took me on this journey and everything is making sense now.”

Lifestyle Christianity is located in Watauga, Texas, located north of Fort Worth. It was founded by Todd White in 2014 and was relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area two years later.

“They equip you to evangelize, but the first priority is the relationship with Jesus,” said Campbell, who plans to take classes online like her first year at the school. “Then, they train you how to go out in public and take the gospel, not just within the four walls, but to take it out to the community.”

Campbell has been living in Montgomery County since 2021. Her husband, Brad, is a native of Bellflower.

“I sang at a wedding at High Hill,” Campbell said. “One of my cousins asked me to do it. I wasn’t from this area. That’s where I met my husband. We got married and we have three kids.”

Anyone who wants to book a photo session can contact Campbell at 636-235-1340 or message her on her Facebook page.
