The Crisis Closet of Montgomery County can provide emergency food as well as paper products, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items to residents of Montgomery County once every three months.
Any resident of Montgomery County may come to 1012 S. Sturgeon Street on Tuesday or Friday from 9 a.m.-noon. Those seeking assistance must provide the Closet’s personnel with a photo I.D., a piece of mail with your current address on it and a telephone number. These items are required before we can assist anyone. When approved to receive assistance, recipients will also receive notice of the next time that they will be served again.
The Crisis Closet is a non-profit, 501c-3 organization; and receives no federal or state funding.
The Closet is dependent upon donations of money, food and/or hygiene and clearing products from churches, organizations and individual donors.
Anyone who would like to donate, please call 573-550-4060. A donation statement for tax purposes will be provided if requested.
Any donation delivery that is not possible, arrangements can be made to pick it up if notified. Please make sure that all food items given are not outdated.
