Dale Arthur "Twinkie" Riegel left this world on May 9, 2026, surrounded by family and friends, after a long battle with cancer.
Dale was born on Nov. 28, 1977. He was the son of Elmer and Deborah Riegel of Montgomery City and Janet Wiegand of California (Moniteau County). He graduated from Montgomery County High School in 1996.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Toby of Wellsville; his children, Codi Riegel and Coltin Riegel of Bowling Green, Trystan Kilbourn of Macon, Emryss Kilbourn of Kirksville, Jordan Harvey of Troy and Abigail Harvey of Wellsville; sisters, Holly (Brian) Shahan of New Florence, Michelle Edwards of California and Danielle Suff of Jefferson City; grandmother, Betty Howell of Montgomery City; grandsons, Vinny and Liam Harvey; his best friend, Daisy; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Lakelynn Parker Futhey.
Dale was a truck driver for almost 29 years. He loved trucking as a profession and a hobby, often helping friends out with pulling trucks and shows over the years. He also loved riding motorcycles with his mom and dad and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
It is suggested that any memorial contributions in his memory be given to his family. The Montgomery County Cancer Supporters or the Helen Reagan Cancer Fund.
