Darlene F. Cruts, 78, of O Fallon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at SSM St. Joseph's Hospital West, Lake St. Louis.
Darlene was born in Portland, Mo., on March 9, 1941 , a daughter of the late Theodore "Pete" & Golda Mae (Atterberry) Carver.
She was the widow of Leroy Alfred Cruts. They were united in marriage on September 26, 1959, in Hermann. Leroy preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2016.
Darlene is survived by their four children, Peggy Bounds, of Michael, Ill.; Patti Montalbano and husband Michael, of Montgomery City; David Cruts and wife Jennifer, of Springfield, Mo.; and Penny Hildebrand and husband Kevin, of Troy; by 10 grandchildren, and 11 great--grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy, and two brothers, Edward & Glen Carver.
Darlene was a seamstress, she worked for many businesses and also made clothes and other things from home. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, quilting and sewing.
Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 21 from 44-8 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, Rhineland. Memorials may be given to Susan G. Komen in care of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
