Louis Edward Schwarze, 82, of Upland, California, died of a heart attack on August 17, 2022 at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City, Nev. He was loved by many.
Mr. Schwarze grew up in Overland and graduated from Missouri School of Mine and Metallurgy at Rolla, Mo. in 1963 with a degree in metallurgical engineering. He worked at U. S. Steel in Gary, Ind., Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria, Ill.,, and Northrop Corporation in Anaheim and Hawthorne, Calif., before retiring in December 1994.
On June 22, 1968, he was married to Helen Deanna Lenoard who survives. Other survivors include sons Jeffrey Scott (Janice) and Gregory Alan Schwarze (Julia), 4 grandchildren, Brian (Paula), Katie, McKenzie (Tino Castanon) and Lauren Schwarze, all of Carol Stream, Ill. Also surviving are brother, Curtis Schwarze (Peggy deceased), of Coos Bay, Ore. Ed loved his wife and family very much.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Eddie Henry Schwarze and Vivian Imogene (Bryant) Schwarze; and his sister Reba (Schwarze) Jones.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9 at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, Calif., and interment will be in the Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont, Calif..
