The Montgomery County and Wellsville-Middletown fall sports teams had their first day of practice on Aug. 9. MCHS has football, volleyball, cross country and softball and W-M had cross country and softball. MCHS' football team practiced with the Army National Guard from Warrenton, the W-M softball team held its first practice indoors because of heat-related conditions and MCHS volleyball team held two-a-day practice sessions from Aug. 9-12.
