Greg Eikel, 55, of Montgomery City, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Gregory Alan Eikel was born February 7, 1970 in Hermann to Lloyd and Mary Beth (Worley) Eikel.

Greg lived his entire life in Montgomery County and was a graduate of Montgomery County High School.

He was a self-employed carpenter, but he did so much more. He was known for his specialty art seen around town but his love was for motorcycles. He would spend every free moment buying, trading, riding, painting or just admiring someone else's beautiful bike.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Eikel. His grandparents Wilfred and Ruby Eikel (Finke) and Lee Roy and Evelyn Worley.

Surviving him are daughter, Megan Eikel; life partner, Liz Thorpe; mother Mary Worley and step-father Dan Adelsberger; brother, Jared Knipfel; nephews, Clayton and Lance Knipfel; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.

Greg will be missed by the motorcycle community and all his riding brothers and sisters

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on June 14 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, with Ryan Hadden officiating. Interment will follow at Hugo Cemetery in New Florence.

A visitation will be held from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. on June 13 at the funeral home.
