James Dean Hill, 61, of Hermann passed away on August 24, 2021 at his home.
James was born in St. Louis on October 17, 1959, the son of the late Edwin G. Hill and Murealdean (Murray) Carlisle.
He was the husband of Della M. (Strauss) Hill. They were united in marriage on October 27, 1979 in Bellflower.
James was a welder. He was also an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church where he officiated many weddings.
James is survived by his wife, Della Hill, of the home; three daughters, Jessica Riggins and husband Jimmy of Morrison, Mo.; Kiristie Hogue and husband Jim of Montgomery City; and Angela Stratman and husband Jason of Wentzville; granddaughters, Desiree McPhee, Terri McPhee, Adelynn Hogue, Alexis Stratman and Isabelle Stratman; grandsons, James Hagedorn, Jacob Hogue and Ethan Hogue; two sisters, Debra Johnson of Wright City, and Barbara Sisson and husband Roy of Bowling Green.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Darrel Hill and George Judd, Jr.; two sisters, Mellissa Sanchez and Tonya Judd; and a grandson, Matthew James Hogue.
Visitation and funeral services were held on Aug. 27 at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann.
Memorials may be given to Stand Up to Cancer or Kindred Hospice, in care of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
