James Miller

James C. Miller passed away in Wentzville on December 5, 2021 at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband of Rhea Miller nee Laughead of Wentzville. He is survived by his two sons, James G. Miller of Santa Ana, Calif., Mark R. (Kimberly) Miller of Warsaw; two daughters, Karen Lee (Rex) Dawson of Wickenburg, Ariz., and Lori (James) Kingsbury of Ballwin; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

James was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Intrepid. He enjoyed duck hunting, playing golf, and riding horses. He was a 4-H Leader in Horsemanship, played semi-pro baseball, and was a member of Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association. James was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, James G. Miller; mother, Margot E. Miller nee Hoffman; first wife, Deloris Ann Miller nee Schoemehl; and sister, Betty Lee Kidd.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 12 at Pitman Funeral Home. The funeral is scheduled for the following day at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville. At the request of the family, all attendees of the funeral are required to wear a mask. The burial will be at Lauren Hill Memorial Gardens in St. Louis.
