The Jonesburg Homecoming will return for its 84th year on June 18.
This year’s three-day event will begin at 5 p.m. on June 18 with the fish and food stand opening for patrons at Lions Park and will end at 11:30 p.m. on June 20 with the 50/50 and $100 attendance prize drawings.
The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. on June 18. Participants must register at Jonesburg Elementary School at 5 p.m. The parade will have a special theme called “Thank You Veterans” in honor of America’s 250th birthday. All veterans are invited to the parade and will get to march behind the color guard.
The Jonesburg Homecoming will have the pedal tractor pull, egg toss and chain saw contest on June 19. Music will be played throughout the event by Ron Austin (June 18), Shoot for the Stars (June 19), Thin Ice (June 20) and Mickey and Michael Scott (June 20).
The baby show kicks off the third and final day of the event on June 20. There are five divisions each in the boys and girls groups. The winner of each division advances to the Grand Champion contest.
There will be a carnival on all three days. It is provided by Tinsley Amusements of High Hill.
A car/motorcycle show will be held from noon-3 p.m. on June 20. The washer tournament is scheduled at 1 p.m., also on June 20.
