Joyce Fay Sieg, 93, of Montgomery City, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.
Joyce was born in New Florence on November 20, 1930, the daughter of the late Joseph Richard & Mary (Loane) Greenwell.
She was the wife of Louis V. Sieg. They were united in marriage on July 17, 1948 at St. Paul E & R Church in Hermann. Together, they shared 76 years of marriage. Lou survives at the home.
Joyce is also survived by a daughter, Karen Broeker and husband James of Truxton; a son, Michael Sieg and wife Kay of St. Charles; a daughter, Sherry Weiss and husband Kirk of Defiance; a sister, Mary Lea Mellott and husband James of Fenton; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and her beloved Beagle Tracy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and seven sisters.
Joyce was affiliated with the United Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, deer & turkey hunting, fishing and she was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. on Nov. 21 at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in New Florence. Funeral services will be held the next day at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial was at St. James Cemetery in Big Spring. Memorials may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. James Cemetery.
