Larry Wayne See passed away on Tuesday, May 16 at University of Missouri Hospital. He was born September 29, 1940, the son of Emmett and Ruby See of rural Montgomery City.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was happily married to his wife Carolyn. They spent 64 loving years together. He retired from MoDOT at 62 years old and worked the last few years part-time for the Montgomery County Road District, mowing their lots.
Larry adored his family. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and having a fish fry. He was content to mow all day, then come home and spend countless hours relaxing on the porch with a cigar and a cold drink. Larry will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Ruby See; sister, Joyce Gruber; and grandson, Zackary See.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; sons, Andrew (Christy) See, and Steven (Tammy) See; brother, Gilbert See; grandchildren, Caitlyn See, Meagan See, Taylor Isaac and Joseph See; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended friends and family.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 10 a.m.-noon at Schlanker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at noon, followed by interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
