While Loren was stationed overseas, their children, Annelisa and Ricky, were born in Mildenhall, England. Once they returned stateside, the family spent the next twenty years living at various Air Force bases across the United States. While Loren served his country, Linda took care of their family. After Loren's retirement in 1979, the family moved to Missouri to be closer to Loren's parents.
