Marjorie (Margie) Ruth Clark Lotton, 83, of rural Bellflower, died Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Margie was born June 8, 1938 in Montgomery County to Clarence Aubrey Clark and Ada Mary Hart Clark. Margie attended school at Bellflower through her junior year; her senior year the school district consolidated, and she graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1956. She then moved to St. Louis where she worked until her marriage to Gerald (Jerry) Lotton Oct. 25, 1959. 

Margie worked for H & R Block and for Walt McQuie and Dan Deiter doing abstract and title work. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. Jerry and Margie were married for 62 years. Margie enjoyed square dancing and line dancing, and walking with her neighbor and good friend Geri Strauss. Most importantly, Margie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially going for mule rides on country roads and sitting outside on the farm visiting with family and friends.

Margie was a member of Bellflower United Methodist Church.

Margie is survived by her husband, Jerry Lotton, of the home, two children: Carol Lotton Hassler of Warrensburg, and Randy Lotton and his wife Eileen of rural Bellflower; three grandchildren: Jacob Lotton of Montgomery City, Shane Lotton of Creve Coeur, and Ally Hassler, of Warrensburg; two sisters: Mildred Percy of rural Bellflower, and Evelyn Little, of Newhall, Calif.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ada Clark; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Karen Clark, and brothers-in-law Bill Percy and Rube Little.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Bellflower. Interment is at Bellflower Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. Pallbearers will include Jacob Lotton, Shane Lotton, Brian Clark, Matt Clark, Ron Percy and Kevin Schmidt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Montgomery County Senior Center in care of Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
