MCHS baseball season opener

The Montgomery County baseball team started its 2021 season in thrilling fashion on March 22, defeating the Pacific Indians 1-0 in 11 innings. Sophomore Harrison Bishop delivered the game-winning RBI single with one out in the bottom of the 11th, driving home sophomore Jace Ellis from second. Elllis was the winning pitcher, striking out six and giving up two hits, and throwing 69 pitches in four and 2/3 innings of work. Evan Abercrombie, the Wildcats' starting pitcher, struck out eight and gave up four hits in six and 1/3 innings of work. THEO TATE PHOTOS
