The Montgomery County baseball team clinched a share of the Eastern Missouri Conference title after beating North Callaway 7-0 on May 8 at MCHS. It is the Wildcats' ninth EMO championship and their first since 2019. MCHS finished in a tie for first in the conference standings with Elsberry at 9-1. The Wildcats scored two runs in fourth, one in the fifth and four in the seventh. Jace Ellis went the distance, striking out six and giving up three hits to pick up the complete game victory.
