The Montgomery County boys basketball team advanced to the Class 3 state quarterfinals for the second year in a row by beating the Steelville Cardinals 62-33 in a sectional game on March 3 at Fulton High School. The Wildcats improved to 28-1 and extended their winning streak to 17 games. Clayton Parker scored 31 points and Andrew Moore finished with 16 to lead MCHS, which was the host of the sectional game.
