MCHS boys basketball wins district title

The Montgomery County boys basketball team captured its first district title since 2017 and its sixth in program history after beating the Hallsville Indians 63-47 in the Class 4, District 7 championship on March 6 at North Callaway High School. The Wildcats improved to 20-7, making it the second year in a row they won 20 or more games. Collin Parker finished with 20 points, Keenan James scored 13, Ty Leu had 11 and Drake Smith added nine for MCHS, which was scheduled to play Father Tolton in a Class 4 sectional game at Ballew & Snell Court.
