The Montgomery County cross country team began its season on Sept. 5 at the New Haven Invitational and had four runners earn medals.
Senior Dawson McCown led the way with a second-place finish in the boys race. Sophomore Malia Rodgers and junior Lyric Ford finished third and fourth, respectively, in the girls race. Freshman Jadrian Thurman came in 12th in the boys race.
