MCHS football vs. Louisiana

The Montgomery County football team improved to 2-0 with a 41-13 win over the Louisiana Bulldogs in its home opener on Sept. 3 at Jim Blacklock Field. Quarterback Adam Czerniewski scored three touchdowns, giving him five on the season. Travis Hill scored an eight-yard TD run with 10:04 left in the  first quarter to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead. Keenan James scored a 24-yard TD catch in the second quarter. Evan Abercrombie kicked a pair of field goals -- a 35-yarder in the third and a 29-yarder in the fourth. MCHS returns to action on Sept. 10 with another home game against Bowling Green. The Wildcats are 2-0 for the first time since 2013, when they won their first eight games en route to a 9-2 season.
