The Montgomery County football team defeated Louisiana 47-20 in its homecoming game on Oct. 6 to improve to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in Eastern Missouri Conference play. Jace Ellis scored three touchdowns, Dayton Simmons had two touchdowns and Bryson Hoffman and Jacob Hogue each scored a touchdown for MCHS, which tied its highest offensive output of the season.
