MCHS football vs. Monroe City

The Montgomery County Wildcats dropped to 0-2 with  a 46-13 loss to the Monroe City Panthers on Sept 2 at Jim Blacklock Field.  The Wildcats got touchdowns from senior quarterback Adam Czerniewski and senior running back Brenden Luttrell. Czerniewski scored a 58-yard TD run with 6:40 left in the first and Luttrell scored a six-yard run with 4:47 remaining in the fourth. Monroe City, which advanced to the Class 1 state quarterfinals year, improved to 2-0, beating Mark Twain and MCHS by an average margin of 36.5 points. The Wildcats are back in action on Sept. 9, when they travel to Van-Far to take on the Indians in their Eastern Missouri Conference opener. THEO TATE PHOTOS
