The Montgomery County softball team hosted a four-team jamboree on Aug. 24 that included Silex, Community R-6 and Elsberry. The Wildcats defeated R-6 5-0 and Silex 5-1 and lost to Elsberry 4-2 to finish with a 2-1 record. A solo home run from freshman Aliviah Fischer in the first inning against Silex was one of the Wildcats' biggest highlights. All games were three-inning contests. THEO TATE PHOTOS
