The Montgomery County track team qualified 17 athletes to the Class 3, Sectional 2 championship meet on May 21 at Jim Blacklock Field after finishing in the top four in 13 events in the boys division and eight in the girls division in the District 4 meet on May 14, which was held at Blacklock Field. The Wildcats won district titles in four events -- girls javelin (Sam Queathem), boys high jump (Tyler Erwin), boys 4x200 (Adam Czerniewski, Jacer Brower, Jadrian Thurmon and Dominic Luttrell) and boys 4x100 (Czerniewski, Luttrell, Gavin Mendoza and Ty Leu).
