Weather permitting, on August 6 at 6 p.m., Missouri Route 19 will close for a period of up to 7 days in order to complete the tie-in work at the south roundabout and remaining work in Stage 3 of construction. The closure will be located just south of Tree Farm Road, extending south for 800 ft. This closure is necessary in order to safely complete work at this location due to steep slopes and the existing curve.
During this time, message boards will be in place to alert motorists as changes occur and traffic will be routed over the following detours:
Additional traffic impacts will be in place as listed below:
Weather permitting, on August 12, Missouri Route 19 is anticipated to re-open and traffic will be shifted onto the new MO 19 bridge over I-70 while the eastern portion of the project is constructed. This begins Stage 4 of the project. During this time, drivers can expect to experience the following traffic impacts when traveling in this area:
To manage traffic flow, the South Outer Road/Tree Farm Rd., east of MO 19, will be closed at the temporary I-70 access point. Drivers wishing to access areas on the South Outer Road, east of the I-70 access, will need to travel east on I-70 and utilize the interchange at High Hill.
The I-70 eastbound off-ramp to Missouri Route 19 will remain closed with traffic utilizing the temporary eastbound off-ramp onto the new portion of Tree Farm Road to access Missouri Route 19, as described above.
