Montgomery County officially receives Missouri Blue Shield Designation
On April 1, Montgomery County received official word from the Missouri Department of Public Safety that we have earned the Missouri Blue Shield designation for 2026. This honor recognizes Missouri communities that demonstrate their commitment to enhancing public safety, investing in and supporting law enforcement and building partnerships between law enforcement and our community.
On March 27, deputies stopped a vehicle in the High Hill area for an equipment violation. Through the course of the stop deputies discovered the driver did not have a valid driver’s license and had an active warrant out of St. Charles County. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
On March 28, deputies stopped a vehicle in the New Florence area for an expired registration. Through the course of the traffic stop deputies discovered the driver had an active warrant out of Maries County. The driver was arrested and transported to the MC Jail.
Also on March 28, deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to display vehicle registration. Through the course of the traffic stop deputies discovered the driver’s driving privileges had expired in 2024. The driver was arrested, transported to the MC Jail and charged with failing to display plates on motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
On April 1, deputies received information that a subject with a full U.S. extradition warrant for arson was possibly traveling from Illinois to the Bellflower area. A short time later deputies located the suspect on Highway E. The subject was arrested without incident and transported to the MC Jail on the no-bond warrant.
