Deputies advised the driver he was under arrest. As deputies attempted to place him in handcuffs, the driver pulled away and began resisting. Once in custody the driver was transported to the MC Jail, where he provided a breath sample showing a BAC of .187%. He was subsequently charged with resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, failing to register a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and failing to equip headlights.
