The public is invited to the Annual Homecoming Picnic at the Mount Horeb Baptist Church Historic site on Aug. 1.
The Mount Horeb Historical Society is celebrating the 193rd anniversary of the founding of Mount Horeb Baptist Church. Arrive early for the noon potluck dinner. Bring a covered dish to share, table service and a lawn chair. A free ice cream social follows lunch.
The annual Mount Horeb Historical Society business meeting follows and is open to anyone wanting to stay.
The church will be open. New historical information is on display. This site is maintained by the Mount Horeb Historical Society which includes those who love Mount Horeb, descendants of the Church’s former members and remaining former members.
The church is located on the corner of Mount Horeb Church Road and Prairie Fork Road, southeast of Williamsburg and 16 miles southwest of Montgomery City.
