Myrna Sue Blaue Rodgers of Bellflower died on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the St. Andrews Nursing Home in New Florence.

Myrna Sue Blaue Rodgers was born January 24, 1937, in Laddonia to Herbert Alvin and Erma Elizabeth Alderson Blaue. Myrna graduated from Community R-VI High School. Myrna married Richard Dean Rodgers in Wellsville on April 22, 1956. Dean preceded her in death on May 27, 2005. Together, they worked hard with grain and livestock farming. In later years, Myrna also worked at the Montgomery True Value Hardware Store in Montgomery City. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a very hard worker. She enjoyed her flowers, along with gardening and visiting with all her family and friends. 

Mrs. Rodgers was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville, where she was a teacher for Saturday and Sunday School. She was also a member of the TIE Club, Bellflower Fireflies Auxiliary, Squirle 8 Square Dancing Club, Women in Ag, Elderberries and Board Member of the Bellflower Cemetery Association.

Mrs. Rodgers is survived by two sons: Randy D. Rodgers and wife, Peggy, of High Hill; and Duke Rodgers and wife, Shari, of Bellflower; and one daughter, Debbie Ludy and husband, Andy, of Moscow Mills; grandchildren: Curt Rodgers and wife, Sarah of Kalona, Iowa; Lori Rodgers Kruger and husband, Devin, of Lee’s Summit; Luke Rodgers and wife, Ashley, of Bellflower; Adam Rodgers and wife, Bridget, of Wellsville; Hope Rodgers Adams and husband, Raul, of St. Charles; Jake Rodgers and wife, Mandy, of Bellflower; Amanda Ludy Smith and husband, Jake, of Houston, Texas; and Travis Ludy and wife, Teresa, of Hawk Point. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Daniel, Hannah, Jackson, Dayton, Kendall, Allie, Meredith, Robbie, Alexia, Brooklyn, Charlee, Denver, Carter, Aviva, Bennett, Emery, June, Dawson, Evan, Jaden and Keilyn; siblings: Billy Blaue and wife, Sandy of Wellsville; and Dale Blaue and wife, Judy, of Wellsville; a sister-in-law, Barbara Rodgers of Avon, Ind.; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Erma Blaue; and her sister, Cheryl Clark.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Sept. 8 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville. The Reverend Luke Wolters will officiate and interment will be in the Bellflower Cemetery at 3 p.m. Visitation will precede the services at 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Grace Lutheran Church. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren.
