The Montgomery County basketball teams split an Eastern Missouri Conference doubleheader on Jan. 20 at Ballew & Snell Court, winning the girls game 52-18 and losing the boys contest 55-42. Aubrey Janes scored 17 points, Emma Rodgers had 15 and Reese Hill finished with 12 to lead the MCHS girls, who are now 4-1 in conference play. The MCHS boys had their 43-game conference winning streak snapped with the loss to Bowling Green. They are now 3-1 in league play.
