Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Hagan, Jr., 34, of Fulton passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

He was born in Columbia on December 19, 1986, to Ronald Eugene Hagan, Sr. and Laura (Devlin) Armstrong.

Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hiking, biking and skateboarding. He earned his living as a self-employed tree trimmer. Ronnie had a passion for the river. Last year, he traveled 840 miles on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. He loved all animals, especially his dogs. He had a trailer on his bike so they could travel with him.

Ronnie will be fondly remembered by his child, Phoenix “Shayne” Battershell; mother, Laura Armstrong (John) of Fulton; father, Ronald Hagan, Sr. of Taos; brothers, Johnny Armstrong IV (Elise) of Chicago, Jason Armstrong (Angela) of St. Louis, Scott Armstrong (Kim) of St. Louis and Corey Hagan of Taos; sister, Ladaynea Simpson of Fulton; grandfather, Harland Schmidt; grandmother, Donna Devlin; close friends, Jessica Graul and Zach Tipton; and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dennis Devlin and Shirley Devlin, John and Carolyn Armstrong, and Betty Schmidt; nephew and “Little Buddy”, Dayne Hathman; aunt, Darlene Tate; and cousin, David Armstrong.

A Celebration of Life was scheduled for Aug. 25 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
