Ruth A. Woods passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 20, 2024 at the age of 86. Ruth was born September 15, 1937 in St. Louis to Alvie Moore and Marie Wilson-Moore-Maloney.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Welton Woods of Jonesburg; three children, Gary (Rhonda) Woods of Jonesburg, Karen (Rick) Smith of Jonesburg and Debbie Wilson of Union; brother, Dan Maloney of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alvie Moore; mother, Marie Maloney; three siblings, Mike Maloney, Patsy Woods and Pamela Patterson. Ruth was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Jonesburg Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church song leader at Jonesburg Baptist Church.
Ruth dedicated her life to the Lord and her church. She was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed crocheting, crafting, mowing the lawn, gospel music, puzzles, gardening and canning. Most of all, Ruth loved her family and spending time with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon on Jan. 25 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Warrenton. Funeral services will follow at noon at the church.
