Rylan Leroy Mann, 89, of Williamsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia.

Rylan was born on February 15, 1936, in Bates County, the son of R.A. and Nancy (Gates) Mann who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Barbara Thompson on February 15, 1959.

Rylan retired as Master Gunnery Sargent after 25 years in the US Marine Corps. He then worked at Boy Scout Camp on Catalina Island, Calif., and guided Discoveries on Catalina Island, Calif., and Idyllwild, Calif. He was also known as the magic Mann. He was a faithful member of Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg.

Survivors include, his wife, Barbara Mann; one sister, Reita Perrigo (Richard); three children, Robert Mann, Thomas Mann (Lisa) and Joseph Mann (Yvette); six grandchildren, Sarina Cunningham (Chris), Nicholle Bouldin (Kyle), Heather Mann (Abel), Danielle Weakley (Travis), Thomas Mann and Joseph Mann; 13 great grandchildren, Paige, Jacob, Ronyn, Riley, McKynlee, Lilliann, Adryana, Alaynah, Ayveree, AnnaLise, RyLee, Hannah and AdeLynn; two step-children, Shane Woodson and Adryana Woodson; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Mann and Rolla “Buck” Mann.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Celebration of life will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William Jessup officiating. Inurnment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near New Franklin with full military rights.
