Shoulder closures scheduled for westbound Interstate 70 near High Hill

Weather permitting, motorists can expect westbound Interstate 70 shoulder closures on July 13 and 14 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for utility location work on the westbound shoulder between mile marker 178.3 and mile marker 180, near High Hill.

This work is being completed ahead of the sixth project in MoDOT’s Statewide Improve I-70 Program. Improve I-70: Kingdom City to Warrenton is a $581 million Design-Build project that will improve the 44-mile stretch of I-70 between Kingdom City and Warrenton and is anticipated for award in late 2026. Construction is tentatively set to take place from 2027-2030.
