An accident occurred at the 176-mile marker on eastbound I-70 on the morning of May 22 in New Florence, causing moderate injuries for a Springfield resident.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 2024 Ram 2500, which was driven by a 42-year-old male from Springfield, exited the left side of the roadway and struck the media barrier. Debris from the vehicle struck the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, which was driven by a 61-year-old St. Charles female.
The Springfield driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
Per the Missouri State Highway Patrol, names of the involved parties in traffic crash and boat drowning incident reports are not released.
