Tarah L. Busken, 44, of Wellsville and of St. Louis, passed away on November 3, 2022, at her home in Wellsville, surrounded by family.

Tarah was born on March 25, 1978 in St. Louis to Larry Busken and Jill Paubel Busken. She graduated from Hazelwood East High School and attended Forest Park Community College. Tarah had worked many jobs such as MoDOT, the City of Jennings and Coleman. Her favorite job was working with the Wellsville-Middletown R-I School District as a school bus driver and a custodian. She loved traveling and animals. There wasn’t an animal or reptile or person who did not appreciate her kindness and wit. She had a variety of animals in her lifetime and was actually called the Animal Whisperer.

Tarah is survived by her parents, Larry Busken and Jill Paubel Busken of Wellsville; sister, April Michalski of Moberly; nephews, Taylor Michalski and wife Bailey, Connor Michalski, and Ashton Sheets. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins, who are all going to miss her smiling face.

Tarah’s wish was to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to the ASPCA, which would be greatly appreciated. She was always on the side of the downtrodden.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Nite Owls, 201 N. 3rd Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.

Schlanker Funeral Home of Montgomery City was in charge of the arrangement.
