W-M boys vs. Silex in Class 2 districts

The Wellsville-Middletown boys basketball team started its postseason on a high note, beating the Silex Owls 59-46 in a Class 2, District 5 quarterfinal game on Feb. 22 at W-M. The Tigers came back from a 17-7, second-quarter deficit to beat Silex and advance to the semifinals against Clopton. Clayton Ebers scored 18 points, Isaac Seabaugh finished with 14 and Jamel Mahaney and Keaton Mayes each had 10 to lead W-M, which improved to 16-6. THEO TATE PHOTOS
