Wellsville-Middletown's boys basketball season came to a heartbreaking end on March 5 as the Tigers fell 72-68 in double overtime to the Salisbury Panthers in a Class 2 state quarterfinal game at Montgomery County High School. The Tigers finished their season at 19-7, their first winning season in four years. Senior Clayton Ebers scored 29 points to lead the Tigers, including a 3-pointer with two seconds left in regulation that tied the game at 49-49. Also for W-M, senior Jamel Mahaney had 11 points, and junior Keaton Mayes and sophomore Logan Pursifull each finished with 10. THEO TATE PHOTOS
