Wellsville-Middletown cross country at Class 1 state meet

The Wellsville-Middletown boys cross country accomplished history on Nov. 6 at the Class 1 state meet as it got its first all-state medalist and earned its first state plaque. The Tigers finished third out of 16 teams with 155 points and senior Layne Norris placed 18th with a personal-best time of 17:40.  Seniors Isaac Seabaugh, Keaton Mayes and Jason Hollensteiner, junior Kaleb Peak and freshmen Hunter Bickell and Jonah Slovensky also competed for the boys team.
