The Wellsville-Middletown softball team began its home season on Monday with an 11-4 loss to the Madison Panthers. The Tigers dropped to 0-2 and will travel to Clopton for their next game on Thursday. The Tigers stormed to a 3-0 first-inning lead over Madison before the Panthers rallied to win the game. Alyssa Beach had two hits, including a two-run single in the first that gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead, and made six putouts at second base. Hallie Guzy struck out six and drove in a run with a single in the fifth. Indica Scott finished with two hits. THEO TATE PHOTOS
