The Wellsville-Middletown boys basketball team finished fourth in the state after losing to St. Elizabeth 50-45 in overtime in the third-place game of the Class 1 Show-Me Showdown, held on March 12 at JQH Arena at the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield. The Tigers earned their fifth top-4 state finish in program history and their first since 1987. Keaton Mayes scored 16 points to lead W-M, which finished with a 20-8 record. THEO TATE PHOTOS
