Wendy Garrett Dennison passed away on December 23, 2022 at the age of 59.

Born in Troy in 1963, Wendy graduated from Montgomery County High School and the University of Central Missouri. While at college, she met Donald Durham from Indianola, Iowa through her roommate. She married Donald and, from this union, the couple had two sons, Cole and Hunter.

While living in Dallas, Texas, she worked for Procter and Gamble, then Coca-Cola. She returned to her hometown in 1996 and worked as a property manager at the Warrenton Outlet Mall. In 2002, she married Curt Dennison and moved to Washington (Franklin County). She worked for RD Laboratories from 2004-21. They traveled to France, Portugal and several places in the United States. They also traveled annually to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Wendy was a very warm and giving person. She was like a second mother to a lot of her children’s friends. Her house was always full of fun and laughter. The only things she loved more than a good sunset were Coca-Cola and the Green Bay Packers!

She was preceded in death by her son Cole, father Richard and nephew Dalton. Surviving Wendy are her son, Hunter; mother, Alice; three brothers, Chris (Philippa), Stephen and Jason (Robin);  sister, Leigh Ann; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon on Jan. 7 at Jonesburg Methodist Church. Funeral services follow at noon at the church. Burial will be held at Jonesburg City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O.Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383.
