Wilhelmena "Willie" E. Ridder, 87, of Kimberling City passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at her home.

Willie was born in Big Spring on June 9, 1935, the daughter of the late Fred W. Jr., and Ida B. (Grotewiel) Grosse. She was the widow of Lester "Les" W. Ridder. They were united in marriage on March 16, 1957 at Montgomery City. Les preceded her in death on December 8, 2011.

Willie was a member of Kimberling City United Methodist Church. She worked as a teller at Mercantile Bank in Montgomery City for over 30 years.

Willie is survived by two sons, Elmer Ridder and wife Robyn of Ballwin; and Todd Ridder and wife Connie, of Columbia; three grandchildren, Rusty Ridder and wife Amy of Holts Summit; Danielle Glesne and husband Jared of Manchester; and Kelsey Gutesa and husband Ivan, of Wildwood; three step grandchildren, Elly Bethune and husband Clay, of Columbia, Wendy Swetz, of Columbia, and Amy Crockett and husband Chris, of Boise, Id.; eight great-grandchildren, Karli, Hanna, Grace, Layla, Graham, Carter, Jackson and Thea; three step great-grandchildren, Chase, Blake and Todd; a brother, Freddie Grosse and wife Suzanne, of Big Spring; a sister, Brenda Eldringhoff and husband Gene, of Montgomery City; a sister-in-law, Barbara Grosse, of Hermann; and many nieces and nephews.

Willie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Russell Ray Ridder; a sister, Goldie Ham and her husband Pat; and a brother, Landon Grosse.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.

A memorial service will be held in the near future at Kimberling City United Methodist Church.

Interment will be in the Montgomery City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Montgomery City Cemetery or the Kimberling City United Methodist Church.
