Three Montgomery County residents – Dustin Hill, Patrick Lewis and Jeff Porter – fell short in their respective races in the Missouri primary election on Tuesday.

Hill, who is from Middletown, finished third in the U.S. Representative District 3 Republican election with 11,593 votes (12 percent). Blaine Luetkemeyer won the race with 66,400 votes and Brandon Wilkinson was second with 13,188.

Luetkemeyer had the most votes out all of the candidates in the Montgomery County ballot with 1,170 votes. Hill had 782.

Porter, who is from Montgomery City, finished fourth in the District 10 Republican Senate race with 3,339 votes (14 percent). Travis Fitzwater won the race with 7,620, followed by Mike Carter with 6,938 and Bryan Spencer with 5,484.

Porter finished first in the Montgomery County ballot with 1,277 votes. Fitzwater had 286.

Lewis, who is from Wellsville, placed seventh out of 21 candidates with 6,070 votes (0.9 percent) in the U.S. Republican Senate race. Eric Schmitt won the election with 298,852 votes (46 percent).

In the Montgomery County ballot, Lewis finished with 93 votes, while Schmitt had 818.

Nathan Carroz (1,885 votes, associate circuit judge), Ryan Poston (1,835 votes, presiding commissioner), Robyn Schmidt (1,894 votes, circuit clerk), Kathy Hancock (1,828 votes, county clerk), Sheila See (1,861 votes, recorder of deeds), Keith Freie (1,820 votes, prosecuting attorney), Anita Sullivan (1,938 votes, collector of revenue), Lori Stiers (1,848 votes, treasurer) and Kaley Reagan (1,864 votes, public administrator) won unopposed in their respective races in the Montgomery County ballot.

Jeff Myers was elected state representative of the 42nd District (Republican) after finishing with 4,245 votes. M. Rene Yoesel was second with 969 and Joseph Holiway was third with 633.

In the Montgomery County ballot, Myers had 465 votes, followed by Holiway with 58 and Yoesel with 50.

Bruce Sassman won the state representative of the 61st District race unopposed, finishing with 6,271 votes. A total of 1,242 votes came from the Montgomery County ballot.

Other top vote getters in the Montgomery County ballot included Trudy Busch Valentine (U.S. Democratic Senator), Jonathan Dine (U.S. Libertarian Senator), Paul Venable (U.S. CST Senator), Scott Fitzpatrick (State Republican Auditor), Alan Green (State Democratic Auditor), John Hartwig (State Libertarian Auditor), Catherine Dreher (State Libertarian Senator for 10th District) and Bethany Mann (Democratic Representative in Congress for 3rd District).
