Beattie receives Perkins service award

Posted

Montgomery County High School family and consumer science teacher Beth Beattie was selected as the 2023 Missouri Association of Career and Technical Educators (MoACTE) Carl Perkins’ Community Service Award winner during an awards ceremony in July at Springfield.

Beattie was picked as the overall Missouri state winner out of the recipients of each division (Agricultural Education, Trade and Technical Education, Marketing Education, Business Education, Health Sciences Education, CTE Administration division, CTE Counselors division and FCS division). Last summer, Beattie was the recipient of the Missouri Educators of Family and Consumer Sciences Pride/Carl Perkins Award, which is awarded to an individual who has made plenty of contributions to career and technical education.

Beattie, a Hermann High School graduate, has been teaching family and consumer science for 19 years.
