William E. (Bill) Brinegar died peacefully on July 1 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico (Audrain County).  Bill was born June 17, 1936, to Edward and Leota (Moore) Brinegar.  He graduated from Wellsville High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Marines from 1955-1959.

Bill had several occupations, but most enjoyed farming and his time as a MoorMan’s feed salesman in the 1960s and 1970s.  He lived in Kansas and Texas before returning to his home state of Missouri.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Hazel Brinegar of Montgomery City; step-parents, Bill and Leota Wille of Montgomery City; and an infant daughter, Sarah Jean Brinegar.  He is survived by his brother, Bob (Karen) Brinegar of Tontitown, Ark.; three children, Kim Jahner of Montgomery City and Brad Brinegar and Debra (Jim) Radell of Pittsburg, Kan.; grandchildren, Nathan, Robin and Riley Jahner; Taylor, Blake and Ben Brinegar; and Katelyn and Gabrielle Radell.

Bill loved country music, dancing and traveling. After retiring, Bill still traveled and enjoyed camping, along with spending time with family and friends. He was fortunate enough to be reunited with his high school sweetheart, Pat Stone, and spent the last decade happily holding her hand and enjoying life from the front porch of their home in Martinsburg. She survives at home.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bill on August 5 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Martinsburg from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
